We’ve sold about 3000 copies of this book to mostly satisfied customers. About once a week we receive another e-mail from some poor soul asking us for the sequel, The Life of Reilly. Well, here’s the deal. Blood was our first book: both as Wynette’s first novel and our first publishing effort. We made some mistakes: editing mistakes; the sorry-looking CGI cover; and the biggie, announcing that the sequel would be available the following year.

As of this posting, Wynette has not finished The Life of Reilly. She really thought she could just write it immediately after we published Blood, but… it had been nine years since she wrote the Reillys and her muse had other ideas. Those other ideas became the Raised By Wolves series of which Brethren and Matelots are the first and second novels. Wynette is finishing the third book of that series now and will write the fourth immediately after. Once that series is completed, Wynette really intends to finish the Reilly saga. When she does write it, she plans to write the third novel of the Reillys' story at the same time so there won’t be any questions about it being completed before her muse leads her astray yet again.

As for Blood is Thicker Than Water… At this time the novel is still available but it is being (cough) re-vamped. We are utilizing the wonderful services of our editor for the Raised By Wolves series, Barbara Friend Ish. Once the editing/copyediting is complete, we will be re-releasing the book with a new cover. It will look better: it will read better. We will not wince when we pick up a copy. But sadly, it will not satisfy those of you looking for the sequel.
