I am working on a number of projects now that Raised By Wolves is finished. My goal is to learn to work on two wildly different projects at the same time--so that I can write on one when I don't feel like writing on the other.

Zygotes will be a collection of my short stories--both new and old. I plan to release this book in March of 2011. More information is available on the Zygotes page of this site. RBW and Blood fans will be very interested...

Nine Tales of the Kitsune is a science fiction novel told in nine parts. I do not yet know if I will release the parts separately or as one large book. (The parts will not be huge novels in their own right.) I do not know when it will be released--but I am working on it this fall.  Nine Tales is the story of Kit and his partner Azure, immortal energy beings, and their battle to save the planet they live on from another of their kind who is determined to be the one true "god" for the planet's indigenous sentient races.  This is essentially straight up sci-fi, not M/M or gay lit in a science fiction setting. Though, the two main characters are both male, and deeply committed to one another in their own weird way--and there is some really imaginative sex. There is also a lot of dry humor at the expense of the Humans and other indigenous species they encounter. These guys are essentially gods. The story is thematically about the relationship between godlike beings and mankind--and... what do godlike beings yearn for or do in their oh so copious spare time? Nine Tales will get a web page when I am ready to post sample chaps and cover art.

Serving Venus is the first book of a gay/gender-challenged historical series set in the Roman Republic. The plan is to release the first book in late summer or early fall of 2011--a year from now. Right now I don't have a name for the series as a whole. Nor do I know how many books the series will contain. (Hey, I once thought RBW was going to be one book.) Serving Venus has its own page on this site.  I will be adding more information to that page--like the essays and Q&A for RBW--as I write and collect it.

Further out on the horizon...

Rocky Road, a contemporary, humorous, BDSM novel. This is the story of a middle-aged woman who tries to live her long-suppressed BDSM fantasies after her divorce; only to experience the pitfalls and pratfalls of dating within the BDSM community. How does one deal with a passive aggressive sub? Should you check or carry on your play bag when flying to meet a new bottom you met in Second Life? Can the Russian Godmother be trusted or is she just in it for the money? How do you explain to your grown daughters what you were doing in the basement with that guy who is their age, not yours? Are you really expected to put up with a guy who thinks he has to ask his mistress whether or not he can spend the night? Is it possible to find a long term relationship and still have the kink?

Strawberry Banana Fusion, a transgender contemporary comedic romance about the relationship between a confused and fledgling F-to-M and the lovely and experienced M-to-F he falls in love with because she looks like Audrey Hepburn and gives him the time of day.  What's a guy expected to do for true love? Become the person he always dreamed of being?

Jackalopes, a contemporary gay lit novel about a married father of three coming out of the closet and learning to redefine his manhood; in Montana where they don't always go for that sort of self-development.

A rewrite of Blood is Thicker Than Water to reboot the Reilly series, told in multi-first: Amy, Jake and Paul... I say no more...
