This little boat holds up to three people. To operate, you need to sit in the captain's seat (right click, choose "sit here"). The sails will appear automatically, and you will steer with the arrow keys. To carry passengers (2 only), they need to find a place to sit in the craft. If they are not seated, they will not move wth you. I suggest flying to enter the boat. Despite how it appears, it is not positioned so that you can walk into it from the dock.

The boat will last for ten minutes before it sinks. (And you will need to teleport or fly back to the Park.) Or it will sink if the captain leaves the boat. As soon as the first boat is moved, another will rez in its place. Two boats can be active at the same time.

The "interactive attractions" located in the buildings are gay sex beds. They are designed to animate your avatar performing various acts of cuddling or sex. They are both Xcite compatable; but you don't need Xcite gear for them to work. (visit www.getxcite.com if you want to know what many many people are doing in Second Life...) The beds obviously work best with two male avatars. Of course, in order to have two male avatars at your disposal, you will need to hook up with another Park goer, or create a second account and run it on a second computer. (I have not been able to run two Second Life clients on the same PC. I sit my laptop next to another PC in the house...)

You need to interact with the bed to get it to work. You can do this by left clicking on the bed -- usually the middle -- or by right clicking and choosing the "touch" option. In order for the animations to occur, you need to respond positively to a message asking if it is okay for the bed to animate your avatar.  It seems that once you do this, you don't have to keep doing it. However, getting that message to show up is another matter. Sadly, I have not seen it show up on the first attempt with any of the beds in Second Life. So, you will probably need to choose "ignore" on the initial menu of dizzying options, and hope the animate question will appear after the other message goes away. Sometimes you have to go through this multiple times. Sometimes you have to "sit" on the bed. Sometimes you have to sit on one of the pose balls -- that should appear after you touch the bed. Essentially, you have to play with it to get it to play with you. Once you are able to clear it to animate your avatar, the rest is pretty obvious.

Unless you're unfamiliar with camera controls... The rooms the beds are in are small enough that your camera POV will sometimes go outside the wall when the animation starts. If this occurs, it is very easy to get your camera POV back into the action. You will need to use your camera controls. They will be in a small box at the bottom or the top of the screen. It will have two circles with arrows. If it isn't there, you need to go ino the "View" pulldown menu at the top of the screen and find the listing for camera controls and click it to make them show up. With a little practice, you will find you can use the camera controls to put your camera (what you see) pretty far away for your avatar if you need to. To get the camera position back behind your avatar, just move. (There are sound options for "hearing" at the camera POV instead of your avatar. This means if you can't hear a speaker, you could switch to the at camera position for sound and then rack your camea in on the speaker.) It really is easier than it sounds. Just play with it.

No, this is not a hammock - I couldn't quite manage that. This is an N4RS piece of equipment, with their animations. It's not actually a bed; it's a "rug". The N4RS beds are all BDSM equipped, and I decided not to make that available just yet. (If there is enough interest, no problem...)  The pose balls are clearly marked Top and Bottom. (The pose balls are not shown in this picture - they will appear over the bed once you begn to interact with it.)

Venus Temple Bed

This bed comes from Sexwerks and has their animations. The pose balls are dark blue and white; with the dark blue being the Top -- unless you choose "swap" in the menu after an animation. It seems to be a bit more persnickety about starting than the other one is. (The pose balls -- actualy hearts -- are invisible until you interact with the bed.)

My main account is Venus Frequency. If you need to talk to me, or see something going wrong with the attractions, you can IM me in game even if I'm not on. I will receive the message the next time I log in. As acourtesy, please tell me who you are in the real world -- or who I know you as online -- when messaging me.
